An environmentally friendly green factory is actually a factory where international norms are accepted. Half of the amount of land on which the factory will be released will be left for greening. Environmental experts say the cost of production of environmentally friendly green factories is more costly, but in the long run, it is beneficial for both factory owners and workers. In Bangladesh, there are more environmentally friendly (green-factory) garment factories in Bangladesh than any other country in the world. The Green Building Council of the United States gave the certificate of this kind of environmentally friendly factory

(USGBC). They give leadership in Energy and Environment Design (LEED) certification. According to a report published by English daily The Daily Star, the number of Bangladeshi factories found in this certificate is 67. Indonesia has the second largest number of environmentally friendly factories in Indonesia. On the other hand, there are only five such factories in India. Gopalakrishna P., USGBC's Asia Pacific Ocean and Managing Director of the Middle East, said in Dhaka that more than 280 garment factories in Bangladesh could get LEED certification soon. This has been the reason that Bangladesh's entrepreneurs have invested in environment-friendly production to produce world-class products. On Thursday, Gopalakrishna said,

 "In any regard, Bangladesh has the largest number of environment-friendly factories in the world," said Gopalakrishnan, on the occasion of a ceremony to certify green platinum rated ready made garments factories at BGMEA building. Among the 67 Bangladeshi factories found in Leading Certificate, 13 were ranked in the first category, ie platinum category. The rest were found in Gold, Silver or General category. Not only the highest number of environment-friendly factories, but also the status of Bangladesh among the world's most environmentally friendly factories. The top 10 of the certified factories are in Bangladesh. In fact, the factories were given environment-friendly recognition, which is able to save between 25 to 30 percent of the water and energy, where there is less fire incident and fewer people are injured if such incidents occur due to the architectural architecture of the factory building. Gopalakrishna said 650 factory-owned Bangladesh-registered industries in the USGBC are environmentally friendly Out of these 303 ready-made garments are out of the factory. Some of them are commercial buildings, some of which are leather products and shoes-sandals. The number of environmental-friendly buildings in the rival India of Bangladesh is 30, of which only five buildings are functional. Gopalakrishna has urged India to be more environment-friendly for factory construction He said, "90 million green projects of 20 million square feet of the world are under Washington-based USGBC." By the end of this year, several factories can go to production. And by the year 2018, we are expected to be able to produce 200 factories. Meanwhile, the best seven of the world's top 10 have been developed in the field of environmental friendly factory.

USGBC certifies four steps. Platinum, Silver, Gold and Approved. Other entrepreneurs with this certificate are slowly leaning toward the green factories. Factories are being set up by the buyer and all conditions of the USGbC.
